CURLY&Co. English Description CURLY&Co. Nylon Stretch Shirt Jacket / Size 2 / Made in Japan A beautifully balanced piece from CURLY&Co., combining functional fabric, minimalist detailing and an exceptionally clean silhouette. One of the most distinctive features is its unusual earthy color. Depending on the lighting, it appears somewhere between muted khaki, olive and a subdued mustard tone. It is difficult to describe with a single conventional color name, and that subtle ambiguity gives the garment much of its character. The silhouette is another major highlight. It has a relaxed shape with comfortable room through the shoulders and body, yet it does not simply look oversized. The proportions are carefully controlled, creating a clean line from the shoulders through the sleeves and body. Instead of conventional shirt buttons, the front uses understated snap buttons, reinforcing the garment’s modern and functional appearance. A generously sized chest pocket adds a subtle utilitarian detail without disturbing the minimalist design. This versatility allows the piece to function both as a traditional shirt and as a lightweight shirt jacket worn over a T-shirt or knit. The main fabric consists of 85% nylon and 15% polyurethane, providing a functional character and stretch that distinguishes it from an ordinary woven cotton shirt. The inner collar stand, back yoke and cuff linings are made from 100% cotton, showing thoughtful use of different materials throughout the construction. The garment is also Made in Japan. CURLY&Co. is known for creating understated everyday clothing in which fabric, construction and silhouette take priority over obvious branding. Rather than relying on large logos or decorative graphics, the appeal comes from how the garment feels, moves and looks when worn. This shirt represents that philosophy particularly well. For styling, pair it with a plain white T-shirt and black wide-leg trousers, leaving the snaps open to emphasize its shirt-jacket character. The contrast allows the distinctive khaki-mustard tone to become the focal point. Dark indigo denim creates a more casual look, while charcoal trousers move the outfit in a cleaner, more contemporary direction. Ivory or natural-colored pants also complement the earthy palette beautifully. During cooler months, a black mock-neck or turtleneck underneath creates a sophisticated layered outfit. In spring, a white T-shirt and simple sneakers keep the styling light and effortless. Minimal clothing depends heavily on proportion, texture and color, and this CURLY&Co. piece succeeds particularly well in all three areas. With its distinctive earthy coloring, stretch nylon construction, snap-button front, excellent silhouette and Japanese production, it is an understated yet highly considered piece for anyone who appreciates modern Japanese menswear.
