English Description A distinctive COMME des GARCONS HOMME sweatshirt from AD2012, featuring a Nordic-inspired snowflake pattern and Made in Japan construction. At first glance, this piece has the familiar character of a classic navy crewneck sweatshirt, but the decorative grey pattern running around the lower body and sleeves completely transforms its appearance. Inspired by traditional Nordic and snowflake motifs, the graphic treatment gives the sweatshirt the visual character often associated with patterned knitwear while retaining the relaxed appeal of a cotton sweatshirt. The body is made from 100% cotton, with a looped interior characteristic of sweatshirt fabric. This makes the piece particularly easy to incorporate into everyday outfits while still offering the distinctive design language associated with COMME des GARCONS HOMME. Grey ribbing around the neckline and cuffs provides a strong contrast against the deep navy body. The V-shaped detail at the front neckline references classic vintage athletic sweatshirts, while the visible stitching adds another subtle layer of character. The hem treatment also contributes to the intentionally relaxed appearance of the garment. Dating from AD2012, this piece represents a particularly appealing period for collectors and fans of older COMME des GARCONS designs. Its proportions differ from the exaggerated oversized silhouettes that dominate much contemporary fashion, giving it a versatile shape that can work with both classic and modern wardrobes. Style: HJ-T007 AD2012 Size: M Material: 100% Cotton Made in Japan Length: approx. 70cm Shoulder: approx. 49cm Chest width: approx. 54cm Sleeve: approx. 67cm COMME des GARCONS HOMME is one of the key menswear lines within the wider COMME des GARCONS universe, known for reinterpreting traditional menswear through distinctive fabrics, construction, proportions and unexpected details. This sweatshirt is an excellent example of that philosophy: an everyday wardrobe staple transformed through pattern, contrast and thoughtful detailing. For styling, pair it with black or charcoal wide-leg trousers and simple leather shoes to emphasize its Japanese designer aesthetic. The navy and grey combination works particularly well with darker neutral colors, allowing the Nordic motif to remain the focal point. For a more casual approach, combine it with faded denim, military trousers or cargo pants and understated sneakers. It can be worn alone during autumn and spring or layered underneath a coat or jacket during colder months, with the patterned sections adding subtle visual interest. An excellent choice for collectors of COMME des GARCONS HOMME, AD2012 archive pieces, Japanese designer clothing, Nordic-pattern sweatshirts and Made in Japan fashion.
